A Study on the Proposal and Verification of an "Experience Value Evaluation Model" in Virtual Spaces
VR/MR, also known as "Virtual Reality/Mixed Reality," refers to systems that allow users to experience non-existent objects or environments using their five senses. Recently, these technologies have found applications beyond gaming, including educational content and VR content for children with autism. Our research lab explores the potential of VR/MR technology from the perspective of sensory information, aiming to understand the characteristics of impression evaluation through interactions with spatial elements. Through collaborative projects, we are also exploring new possibilities for media.
While working as a graphic designer, I felt that scientific analytical skills were crucial for achieving better design, which led me to develop an interest in cognitive psychology. As a result, I moved to Japan and earned a Ph.D. in the field of Affective Brain Cognition from Tsukuba University Graduate School. Recently, I have been conducting research related to VR/MR/XR (Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, and Augmented Reality) with a focus on human cognitive characteristics. I am also involved in research and lectures on design elements that appeal to users' sensitivities and on providing interactive experiences. Moving forward, I plan to leverage my past experiences, engage in various regional projects, and continue taking on new challenges.
